Indiana University of Pennsylvania invites applications and nominations for the position of Vice President for University Advancement.

The Vice President for University Advancement (VPUA) provides leadership and direction for the University Advancement division, serves on the president’s executive team and cabinet, and is a liaison to two university-affiliated not-for-profit organizations: the Foundation for IUP and the IUP Alumni Association. The Vice President reports directly to the president of the university. The University Advancement division is organized to lead and support development, fundraising, and alumni activities, and the Vice President is responsible for effectively deploying the division’s resources to further the university mission and strategic plan. The VP and division will work collaboratively with other members of the president’s cabinet, academic deans, faculty, staff members who support student success and other members of the Student Affairs division, athletic department staff, and affiliated organizations. The Vice President will also work collaboratively with external volunteers, external corporations, and others to achieve divisional and university goals. The Vice President is expected to play a visible role in community leadership. 

The successful candidate will be committed to relationship-based advancement work that values authenticity, integrity, and personal engagement. A strong record of leadership and accomplishment, and documented success in fundraising that includes major gifts, annual giving, planned giving, and campaign experience, is required. A minimum of five years of advancement experience is required, along with a minimum of five years of senior-level experience in directing or facilitating successful fundraising campaigns, ideally $50 million or higher.
