The Utah Board of Higher Education seeks an experienced and inspiring academic and administrative leader to serve as Weber State University’s next president.
As the chief executive officer of Weber State University (WSU), the president provides the strategic vision and leadership essential to advancing the institution’s mission and vision.
Reporting to the Utah Board of Higher Education, the president manages university resources and fosters academic excellence through collaboration with the WSU Board of Trustees, faculty, staff, students, and alumni. The president also builds vital partnerships with community leaders, government officials, and the Utah System of Higher Education.
Weber State is a public, open-enrollment institution defined by its dual mission and commitment to personalized, student-focused education. Operating across two campuses and multiple centers in three counties, the university serves a large student body of over 33,000, including undergraduate, graduate, and concurrent enrollment students. As a top provider of healthcare professionals to the state of Utah, and a strong academic partner for Hill Air Force Base and the aerospace and defense sectors, Weber State drives transformative growth throughout Utah.
A master’s degree from an accredited college or university is required; a terminal degree is preferred.
