The State Board for Community Colleges and Occupational Education (Board) has initiated a nationwide search for the next Chancellor of the Colorado Community College System (CCCS) – a successor to Chancellor Joe Garcia, who will retire June 30, 2025. The Board is committed to a thorough and inclusive search process, which will identify the best leader for CCCS from a deep and diverse pool of candidates.
CCCS Board member, Dr. Ross Dueber, will serve as chairman of the search advisory committee, which will drive the search. Committee members are Board-appointed and include CCCS Board members, college presidents, faculty, students, and community leaders.
