Colorado State University has named Mr. Derek Dictson as its next Vice President for University Advancement and will join the university on May 1, 2023. Mr. Dictson currently serves as Vice President of Advancement for New Mexico State University and President of the NMSU Foundation. Prior to joining New Mexico State, he served as Chief Development Officer and Senior Director of Engineering Development at Auburn University and Senior Director of Development for the George Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University, where he also served as Business Unit Manager for the Texas A&M Galveston campus, the Texas A&M Law School, and the George Bush School of Government and Public Service. Earlier in his career, he held management positions in the private and nonprofit sectors and earned his master’s degree in public service and administration from Texas A&M and his bachelor’s degree in agricultural business and economics from New Mexico State University.
