Benedict College has announced the appointment of Dr. Robert Garner as the new Dean of the School of Science and Engineering. He started on July 11, 2022. Dr. Garner comes to Benedict after 10 years at University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas. At UIW, Dr. Garner served as Chair of the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry and is credited for leading his department in acquiring certification from the American Chemical Society and the American Society of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. He received his B.S. in Chemistry from Jackson State College and his Ph.D. in Chemistry from the Ohio State University. Read more here.
