The Pasadena Area Community College District Board of Trustees has selected Dr. José A. Gómez to serve as the next permanent Superintendent/President of Pasadena City College. Dr. Gómez has served as Interim Superintendent/President of the college since August of 2023. Prior to his appointment at PCC, he served as Executive Vice President, Chief Operating Officer, and Provost at California State University, Los Angeles. He earned his B.A. in Sociology from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, and his M.A. in Political Science, Master of Public Administration, and Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Southern California.
