Cornell University has appointed Sonia Rucker as the associate vice president for the Department of Inclusion and Belonging. Rucker recently served as vice president of equity, access and behavioral health and the dean of students at Southeast Missouri State University. She was formerly at Cornell as an associate director of diversity and inclusion in the Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management. Read more.
Eastern Kentucky University has selected Derek J. Paulsen as the dean of the College of Justice, Safety & Military Science. Paulsen has served as interim dean of the college since 2020 and is also a professor of criminal justice. Read more.
Guilford College announced the appointment of Kyle Farmbry as the college’s 10th president. Farmbry currently serves as a professor of public administration in the School of Public Affairs and Administration at Rutgers University, where he previously served as dean of the graduate school. Hawai’i Pacific University has appointed Mark Rosenbaum as the next dean of the College of Business. Rosenbaum currently serves as dean and professor of marketing with the Graham School of Management at Saint Xavier University in Chicago. Read more.
Howard Community College has selected Daria Willis as the college’s fifth president. Willis currently serves as president of Everett Community College in Washington and will become the first African American to lead Howard Community College. Read more.
The Rutgers University Business School has appointed Kristin DiFoglio as its new associate dean for advancement. Ms. DiFoglio previously served as senior director of development for the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Penn. Prior to this, she served as executive director of JDRF International (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation).
The University of Alaska Anchorage has selected Justin Atteberry as executive director of shared services. Atteberry comes to UAA from the Southcentral Foundation in Anchorage where his tenure spans nearly 20 years and currently serves as senior director of operations. Atteberry will oversee the university’s financial, travel, procurement, human resources and research administration activities.
Wilkes University announces the appointment of Ellen Gallagher as vice president of finance and chief operating officer, to begin in February 2022. Gallagher has nearly 30 years of experience as a financial leader in the nonprofit sector. Since 2011, she has served as the senior vice president and chief financial officer of the American Museum of Natural History in New York City.
